Can I use Lunlo today?
Public sign-in, checkout, and downloads are closed. The 0.2.0 development build is inactive until its account services are connected and tested. It is not Apple-notarized, and successful real-world face unlock has not been verified. The website’s unlock animation is an illustration.
Is Lunlo Face ID for Mac?
No. Lunlo uses a regular camera rather than Apple Face ID hardware. Camera recognition and liveness checks have different limitations, including video-replay risk. It should not be described as a security upgrade or as equivalent to Apple’s biometric systems.
Is my Lunlo account my Mac login?
No. The intended account uses an email sign-in link and shared SignPulsar authentication. Your Mac login password is separate and belongs only in the native app’s local setup. The website must never ask for that Mac password.
Does local recognition mean it works offline?
Recognition runs locally, but account sign-in and membership verification use network services. A face match does not establish paid access. The app requires a verified membership and an authorized local session before it can attempt stored-password entry.
Will it unlock FileVault or a restarted Mac?
No. Lunlo’s intended scope is an existing locked session while the app is running. FileVault, the first login after restarting, and a logged-out session still require the normal Mac login process. Keep your password available.
Which Macs are being targeted?
The upcoming release targets Apple silicon Macs running macOS 15 or later with a working camera. Camera and Accessibility permissions are part of setup; the Space-key trigger also checks keyboard-listening access. What are the planned trial and cancellation terms?
The planned offer is one eligible 3-day free trial with a payment card, followed by automatic renewal at $4.99 USD/month until canceled. Cancel in the account before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a plan. See pricing.
Who makes Lunlo?
Lunlo is a product of Pulsar Technology LLC. It builds on the MIT-licensed Glance application and uses the AuraFace model under Apache-2.0. It is independent of Apple. Read about Lunlo for the project’s current scope.
